The House of Representatives hosts the 52nd Meeting of the PUIC Executive Committee

Rabat – The House of Representatives will host, on September 10 and 11, 2024 in Rabat, the work of the 52nd Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC).

The meeting will include the election of the Bureau, the adoption of the agenda and the work program, the reading and adoption of the report of the Secretary General of the Union, the establishment of the draft agenda of the permanent specialized committees and subcommittees, in addition to the adoption of the draft agenda of the 26th Session of the General Committee of the Union and the 19th session of the PUIC Conference, indicates a press release of the House of Representatives, announcing that this conclave will be crowned by the adoption of the Rabat Declaration. The Permanent Specialized Committees include the Permanent Specialized Committee on Political Affairs and External Relations, the Permanent Specialized Committee on Economic Affairs and the Environment, the Permanent Specialized Committee on Human Rights, Women and Family Affairs, and the Permanent Specialized Committee on Human Rights, Women and Family Affairs, Permanent Specialized Committee on Cultural, Legal Affairs and the Dialogue of Civilizations and Religions. Other bodies include the Palestine Committee, the Conference of Muslim Women Parliamentarians and the Association of PUIC Secretaries General. Note that the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) brings together 54 member parliaments. Established in 1999, the Union aims to publicize and promote the noble Islamic teachings, to provide a framework for achieving cooperation and coordination between the Assemblies of the OIC Member States, to strengthen meetings and dialogue between its members, to exchange parliamentary expertise, to debate economic, cultural, social and religious issues concerning the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and to formulate appropriate recommendations and decisions with regard to them.
