Feldberg saved 55 of 57 shots in Friday’s match, as Latvian hockey players beat Canada 3-2 in the postgame shootout. Until now, Latvian hockey players had only losses in World Junior Championship matches against Canadians, and most of them by a large goal difference.
Price, the 2015 NHL MVP, highlighted Feldberg’s performance on the social networking site X, which he hadn’t posted in over a year.

Feldberg, who plays daily in the Quebec Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), is currently the most viewed profile in the hockey database “Elite Prospects” in the last 12 hours. The second most viewed is Eriks Mateiko, the author of the winning shot.
An estimated 17,490 spectators watched the game in the usually popular tournament in North America.
In the continuation of the tournament, Latvian ice hockey players will meet the USA national team on Saturday at 10:30 p.m., on December 30th at 10:30 p.m. they will play against their peers from Germany, and in the last battle of the subgroup on December 31st at 9:30 p.m. they will compete against the Finnish national team.
