The Honno organization updates tonight that the police confiscated the weapon of a citizen who killed the terrorist today in Be’er Sheva and that as a result he refuses to leave the police station without the weapon because his picture was published on Arab networks and he fears for his life.
The police are refusing and even threatening to detain the citizen and offering to “hire a private security company”.
Advocate Adi Keidar: “Following the police’s refusal to return his weapon and security to the shooter, the police are now demanding that he leave the station and are threatening to detain him. Hear and do not believe.”
Earlier in the evening, angry residents protested against Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, who arrived at the scene of the attack and accused the police of criminal and negligent conduct after it took police eight minutes to reach the scene, and in fact the vehicles arrived only after the terrorist was killed.
