Two civilians acted today (Tuesday) at the scene of the deadly attack in Be’er Sheva and shot the terrorist until they brought to his neutral, one of them arrived at the police station to testify, where the gun was taken from him for examination, according to the procedure.
But things got complicated when the citizen refused to leave the station – until he got the gun back, due to the fear for his life, after his picture of a terrorist shooting was published.
Advocate Adi Keidar of the Honno organization said that “the police refuse to return to the shooter who neutralized the terrorist his personal weapon, despite his demand and fear in light of the fact that his picture is experienced everywhere, and even his place of residence has been published. The police acted disrespectfully, killing him by allowing him to hire a private security company.
“The disgraceful treatment he received only reinforces the difficulty of the lack of deterrence that the police are producing. Things are serious and we demand the return of the weapons tonight.”

The police said that “the weapons used against the terrorist today in the tragic incident were taken as part of normal investigative actions at the end of which will be returned to their owners. This is a routine procedure in this type of investigation.
It was also stated that “with regard to the return of the weapons of the citizens who acted to stop the attack in the city of Beersheba today, we would like to clarify:
“According to the provision of the law, the weapons were taken as usual to perform ballast tests, which are an integral part of the investigation of the incident.
“In order to prevent the mental anguish of the citizens who acted with courage and determination, the required tests will be carried out tonight and at the end, the weapons will be returned to their owners.”
