Dakar – The initiatives undertaken by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, since His accession to the Throne, in favor of Africa, illustrate His enlightened vision for the development and integration of the Continent, affirmed the former Senegalese Prime Minister, Moustapha Niasse.
In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, Mr. Niasse stressed that the Royal Initiatives stem from the Sovereign’s desire to strengthen African solidarity so that the Continent occupies its rightful place on the stage. international.
Niasse, also former president of the Senegalese National Assembly, recalled the multiple visits made by His Majesty the King to several African countries, noting that these visits had the objective and result of a consolidation of relations between the Kingdom and these countries, through the strengthening of ties of solidarity and friendship, with a shared desire to ensure the development of Africa.
The Sovereign’s visits to African countries were crowned, each time, by the signing of several cooperation agreements covering various areas, he continued.
Niasse also welcomed HM the King’s Atlantic Initiative which offers Sahel countries an opportunity to access the Atlantic Ocean.
“This Royal Initiative aims to allow landlocked African countries to access the ocean through road networks connected to Moroccan ports on the Atlantic,” he noted, highlighting Morocco’s tireless efforts in favor of of the consolidation of African integration.
