The plane was carrying 123 passengers and nine crew members, including three pilots. All are of Chinese descent. Chinese officials said not a single foreigner was on board.

The Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 crashed at 2.25pm ​​above sea level at around 2.22pm on Monday.
