A private company guard who was trying to cross the road was reportedly killed in a car collision with actor D Rajendran. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested in this connection.
He was injured when his car rammed into a guard near Ilango Road, Thenampet, Chennai last Friday. He was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital.
He was given intensive treatment and died without any treatment.

It has been revealed that the car that caused the accident belonged to actor D. Rajendran and that it was his driver Selvam who caused the accident. Pondicherry Traffic Investigation Police are investigating the arrest of Selvam.
D Rajender is said to have been in the car with his family at the time of the accident.
Also after the accident, actor D Rajender immediately called 108 Ambulance and made arrangements for medical treatment for the person. The driver of the car also surrendered immediately, sources said.
