Kolkata Knight Riders star players Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch have been ruled out of the first five matches.
The IPL, the local T20 series that has been running in India since 2008, has received great support from the fans.
A total of 14 seasons have been completed so far in this series which is held annually. This year’s series is set to begin on March 26 and take place in May. The reigning champions Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the series.

Kolkata star duo Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch have been ruled out of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ first five matches, according to coach David Hussey.
Speaking on the occasion, David Hussey said, “It is more important for every player to play for their country than the IPL series. Giving priority to playing for the country is the hallmark of a great player. Both Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch have been ruled out of the first five matches of the series against Pakistan. I hope both will join the Kolkata team as soon as they arrive in India as they are in full fitness. While the departure of star players like Pat Cummins is a setback, I hope it doesn’t hurt that we have great players like Sam Billings and Sheldon Jackson with us. “
