“Countries like Morocco, Ethiopia and Rwanda are paving the way for the transformation of their economies, thanks to industrialization,” notes the media.
Morocco has today become the leader on the continent and a global automotive base, thanks to cutting-edge technologies, but also to highly qualified Moroccan skills.
Addressing renewable energy, ZimEye notes that the continent’s vast renewable energy resources are being harnessed to fuel its economic growth.
“Kenya is a world leader in geothermal energy, while Morocco has one of the largest solar parks in the world, the Noor Ouarzazate solar complex,” he notes.
Morocco wants to achieve 52% electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Particularly committed to the energy transition, the country enjoys remarkable natural potential in terms of solar, wind and hydroelectric energy. It strives to exploit it through large-scale projects such as the Noor-Ouarzazate complex, the largest concentrated solar power plant in the world, or the Taza wind farm.
The Zimbabwean media outlet argues that these initiatives not only provide sustainable energy solutions, but also attract foreign investment and create jobs, thereby contributing to Africa’s development.
