A NATO military official said the information was based on information received from Ukrainian officials.
Meanwhile, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has accused China of providing political support to Russia with blatant lies.
He said NATO allies would agree to provide additional support to Ukraine against the threat of nuclear weapons and chemical weapons.
