Today, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health in charge of the Government of National Unity, Engineer Ramadan Abu Jannah, opened the Libya International Forum for Mental Health, stressing “the importance of mental health as an essential part of the well-being of the individual and the stability of society, and its pivotal role in promoting economic and social development.” .
He pointed to “the government’s commitment to developing health policies and strengthening local and international partnerships, announcing initiatives including integrating mental health services into primary health care centers, and preparing legislation to classify psychologists as medical professions.”
The Minister also praised “the efforts of those working in this field and the national initiatives to support mental health, calling for taking advantage of this forum as a platform to develop the sector and achieve excellence.”
