TRENTO. Their names are Aziz Ziriat, 36, and Samuel Harris, 35, of London. They are missing on Adamello. The last contact with the two hikers dates back to January 1st.
The two never made the return flight home scheduled for January 6. The call to the Single Emergency Number 112 came from the family members of one of the two hikers and yesterday (7 January) the rescue machine started moving.
With the arrival of darkness and due to the unfavorable weather conditions, operations were suspended and resumed at first light today.
The Research Coordination Centre, in which Alpine and Speleological Rescue collaborate with the territorial stations and Research Technicians, Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza, Fire Brigade and Carabinieri, has planned the strategy to be adopted. The intervention of the helicopter is foreseen with rescuers on board to carry out an aerial overflight and a reconnaissance of the primary search area, i.e. the area that goes from the Malga Dosson bivouac, to the Trivena refuge, to Carè Alto, to Corno Vecchioto the Val di Breguzzo (Adamello group). Firefighters will also intervene with drones.
