The president Claudia Sheinbaum reported that a representative of the Government of Mexico will attend the protest of Nicolas Madurowho will begin a new presidential term starting next January 10, 2025.

“In the case of Venezuela, a representative will go to the Maduro’s inaugurationbut we don’t see why it shouldn’t be like that,” he said.
During his intervention in The People’s Morningthe president, commented that the position of the Mexican Government before the presidential election in Venezuela, will be the one that is based on the Constitution for all the governments of the world.
“It is up to Venezuelans, not Mexico, to define,” the president said in response to questions from the press in the Treasury Room of the National Palace.

Meanwhile, the past July 28, 2024, Venezuela held its presidential election, which was surrounded by controversy over the results that gave victory to Nicolás Maduro. This situation generated a conflict between the presidential candidates of that country, as well as an international scandal.
