Kochi: The investigation team is all set to question actor Dileep and Kavya Madhavan in the case of attacking the actress. Kavya will be questioned on the basis of information obtained from the interrogation of Sarath, a native of Aluva, who was involved in Dileep’s financial dealings. Investigators will find out what Sarath and Kavya talked about on the phone. There will also be questions about the testimony that the footage of the attack on the actress was brought to Kavya’s institution Lakshya.
The investigation team had confirmed that it was VIP Sarath who had delivered the footage to Dileep. Official confirmation will come only after the testing of the sound samples is completed. Sarath was questioned for about three hours yesterday under the direction of the investigating officer. Audio recordings recorded by director Balachandra Kumar featured a conversation between Kavya and Sarath. ‘What happened and what happened?’ Kavya asked Sarath. Balachandra Kumar had responded on a private channel that he had identified the VIP by hearing the voice.
Not only Dileep but also brother Anoop, brother-in-law Suraj and Kavya Madhavan should be questioned. It is possible that the footage seen by the accused at their house in Aluva was copied to Dileep’s tab. Or it could be an external tab. Anyway it was given to Kavya. Balachandrakumar said that he had said that in his statement and secret statement. The team of investigators will ask Kavya about all these matters. Dileep will appear before the Crime Branch on the 28th for questioning in the case.
Although he was asked to appear on Thursday, Dileep had asked the probe team to give him another day as he had a pre-arranged trip. The interrogation will be led by Crime Branch DySP Baiju Paul.
