The synopsis of the film mentions: “Emilia Perezan odyssey that defies genres and expectations. Follow the journey of four extraordinary women in Mexico, each in search of their own happiness. “Rita, a talented, underappreciated lawyer trapped in a dead-end job, is hired by the leader of a fearsome cartel to help him fake his death and be able to live freely as the woman he always dreamed of being,” it reads.
And the issue of drug trafficking and disappearances, which total just over 100,000 in our country, have caused the networks to mention that the film makes fun of a situation that has affected millions of Mexicans in recent years.
