The Ministry of Employment and Labor (Minister Kim Moon-soo) will run the 2025 Graduate Specialized Program Project, University Job Plus Center, and high school and We are recruiting new universities (including junior colleges and industrial universities) to provide a customized employment service for university students.

This year, in order to prevent young people from becoming ‘sloppy’, a new “Graduate Special Program Project” was established, and applications for participation are accepted from all universities across the country. As the job market has recently contracted and difficulties for new graduates are increasing, we are trying to focus support on the early stages of graduation.

In fact, in response to the problem of young people giving up on finding jobs, the European Union (EU) considers “within 4 months after graduation” as the golden time and implemented the “Youth Guarantee” that guarantees employment and training opportunities during this period to help young people Great results have been achieved in lowering the unemployment rate. The graduate specialization project has been piloted since August of last year, and young people have responded very well to 1:1 counseling, consulting on document and interview failures, and mentoring by employed seniors. This year, participating universities plan to provide employment support services to all unemployed graduates by phone or text and encourage participation.

In addition, one new university will be recruited to operate the ‘University Jobs + Center’, which will be installed within the university and provide integrated employment support services to young people (support of up to KRW 400 million), and the number of universities operating employment support programs for each target will be expanded and open for public offering. . First, the number of universities operating the ‘Customized Employment Service’, which provides counseling and employment support to college students by grade, increased from 50 last year to 60 this year, and the ‘Customized Employment Service for High School Students* provides career counseling and planning to students from vocational high schools and non-major general high schools. ‘The operating universities will expand from 20 last year to 30 this year.

For this contest, universities across the country (including junior colleges and industrial universities) with employment support capabilities can apply at the employment support department of the competent employment center until Friday, January 31. However, only universities that have a University Jobs+ Center can apply for the customized employment service for high school and college students. ‘Graduate Specialized Program Project, etc.’ A business information session will be held at Pai Chai University (Art Convention Hall) from 14:00 on Friday, January 10th to help universities wishing to participate in the ’25 University Job Plus Center contest.

Hong Kyeong-ui, Director of Youth Employment Policy, said, “This year’s graduates are struggling in difficult employment conditions, and the key is to intervene early to prevent them from falling into ‘sleep.’ “We plan to expand specialized programs for graduates not only to 120 University Job + Centers but also to universities that do not have facilities so that young people can receive the help they need right away,” he said. “We will help you land the job you want more easily.”
