jpnn.comBALI – Persib Bandung managed to maintain its unbeaten record in 17 matches after holding Bali United FC to a draw at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Tuesday (7/1/2025) evening.
Gustavo Franca became Persib’s savior after trailing 0-1 until the 90th minute. The Brazilian defender’s goal came at the end of the match, precisely in the 90+3 minute after receiving Beckham Putra’s pass.
Franca, who was in front of the goal, quickly kicked the ball into the Bali United goal which was guarded by the Bali United goalkeeper, Adilson Maringa. The scoreboard changed to 1-1, and lasted until the referee blew the long whistle.
This draw confirmed Persib as champions of the 2024/25 Liga 1 season. They are in first place with a record of 11 wins, six draws and zero losses.
Persib coach Bojan Hodak said that the status of mid-season champions could be an asset for them to play in the next matches in the second round, especially since Persib will certainly have a number of new players.
