Tere Jiménez meets with governors to strengthen security strategies

The governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, held a meeting with her counterparts from Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and Zacatecas, as well as with authorities from the National Guard and the Mexican Army, in which some joint strategies were defined to strengthen security in the borders and on the roads that connect these entities of the country.

Tere Jiménez reiterated her commitment to working in a coordinated manner with the three levels of government to guarantee peace and tranquility, not only in the state of Aguascalientes, but throughout the region.

“Only with joint efforts and inter-institutional work will we be able to obtain more and better results; Count on the state of Aguascalientes to reinforce security and ensure that peace and the rule of law prevail in the region, since this is decisive to consolidate the economic and social development of our states,” the governor highlighted to those gathered there.

He said that in particular, in Aguascalientes extraordinary efforts are made to guarantee the safety of its inhabitants, thanks to which, he indicated, this entity remains among the safest states in the country.

In that sense, he highlighted the results of the “Aguascalientes Shield” Security and Justice Plan, which is the guiding axis of all the strategies, programs and actions that are promoted in the entity in matters of public security.

He explained that through this strategy that is made up of six axes, important advances have been obtained in terms of security, which today allows Aguascalientes to be a national benchmark in that area, ranking as the fifth state in the country in security perception.

Likewise, he commented that derived from these results, the State Police ranks first in effectiveness and second place as the most reliable in the country; In addition, the Cyber ​​Police, the 911 Emergency Service and the C5i are also in first place at the national level.

Tere Jiménez detailed the actions that have been carried out in each of the axes that make up the “Aguascalientes Shield”; emphasized the acquisition of equipment, creation of infrastructure and use of technology; police and institutional strengthening and professionalization; as well as in the social prevention of violence, crime and addictions; among others.

In the meeting that took place at the National Guard facilities in the municipality of Villanueva, Zacatecas, the governor of Aguascalientes was accompanied by the heads of the State Public Security Secretariat and the State Attorney General’s Office, Manuel Alonso García and Jesús Figueroa Ortega, respectively; Also present were the commander of the Fifth Military Region, Miguel Ángel Hernández Martínez; secretaries of Public Security; zone commanders and commissioners; delegates of the Attorney General’s Office, state prosecutors and security authorities of the five entities.
