Revenues increased by 1.1% to NIS 8.82 billion. This is the first increase since 2016. Investments in infrastructure jumped by 27% to NIS 1.69 billion.
The company compensated itself for the decline in revenues from telephony services thanks to supervision through revenues from business communications services and cloud and high-speed Internet services.
Following the improvement in liquidity, and as first revealed in Maariv, Bezeq announced that it would distribute a dividend in cash of 50% of the profit every six months. This year it is a distribution of NIS 240 million, most of which will go to the shareholders. Gil Sharon, who was appointed chairman of Bezeq about two years ago, explains the improvement in results, mainly in the improvement in the performance of the Pelephone and yes companies, along with the continued increase in Bezeq Kavi’s Internet activity thanks to the deployment of fiber optics.
The subsidiaries Pelephone, Yes and Bezeq International, managed by Ran Gurion, improved their results. Pelephone moved from a loss of NIS 25 million to a profit of NIS 64 million. Revenue increased by 4.7% to NIS 2.29 billion, with an average revenue per subscriber of NIS 55. The television company yes earned NIS 30 million, compared to a profit of NIS 24 million in 2020. Revenues fell by 1.3% to NIS 1.27 billion.
Bezeq International’s profits amounted to NIS 8 million, compared with a loss of NIS 275 million in 2020. Revenues decreased by 2.7% to NIS 1.24 million.
