The first three places were won by the French. The 15th victory in the individual disciplines at the World Cup stages and the fifth victory in the sprint was won by Kentin Fillon Mayet, who completed the distance in 23 minutes and 36.2 seconds with perfect shooting.

Fabien Claude, who shot accurately, was second, losing 14.9 seconds to the compatriot, and Emilien Jaquelin, who shot 1 error while standing, was third, losing 22.1 seconds to Fillon Mayet.

Rastorgujevs, Birkentāls and Mise made one mistake each in the standing shooting, finishing in 13th, 55th and 67th place, respectively. Rastorgujev, who made a mistake in the penultimate shot, lost one minute and ten seconds to the winner, Birkenthal – two minutes and 21.7 seconds, and Mise – two minutes and 51.4 seconds.

Patrijuks made one mistake in each of the shootings and finished in 72nd place in the 100 biathlete competition, losing three minutes and 4.2 seconds to the winner.

The fourth was Ukrainian Dmytro Pidruchny, who shot accurately, who lost 28.8 seconds to the winner, while the top six were completed by Norwegians Martins Uldahl (+29.4) and Sturla Holm Lægreid (+35.7), who each made a mistake in shooting.

World Cup leader Johannes Tingnes Bae was the fastest in skiing, but with three penalty laps he finished in 13th place.

After four out of seven races this season, the leader in the sprint with 243 points is Bae, Jacqueline has 219 and the Swede Sebastian Samuelsson – 206 points.

Rastorgujev is in 24th place with 62 points.

Bae is also the leader in the total of all disciplines, accumulating 597 points after nine competitions. Legreide has 499 points and Jaquelin – 438 points.

Rastorgujev is in 31st place with 100 points.

In the sprint competitions of the previous three seasons, Rastorgujev had taken 28th place twice, and once – 31st place. The other Latvian biathletes had significantly more modest results.

The pursuit competition will be held on Saturday, and the mixed relays on Sunday.

There are nine stages in the World Cup series this season, with the crystal globes handed out at the end of March in Oslo. The world championship will be held from February 12 to 23 in the Swiss resort of Lenzerheide, and the open European championships from January 26 to February 2 – at the Italian track in Martella.
