jpnn.comJAKARTA – PDI Perjuangan did not invite external elements such as the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is also the Chairman of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto at the opening of the 52nd Anniversary at the Party School, South Jakarta, Friday (10/1).
PDI Perjuangan DPP chairman Djarot Syaiful Hidayat said his party’s 52nd anniversary was held simply so Prabowo was not invited.
“This party’s anniversary was a simple event, we did not invite government representatives, we did not invite Pak Prabowo for example,” said Djarot at a press conference, Thursday (9/1).
However, said the former Mayor of Blitar, Prabowo will be invited by PDIP when the party bearing the white snout bull symbol holds the Congress.
“Pak Prabowo, God willing, we will invite people before the party congress,” continued Djarot.
The former Governor of Jakarta continued that the PDIP’s 52nd anniversary was held simply because the Indonesian economy was worrying.
PDIP, said Djarot, did not want to hurt the people’s feelings by carrying out its 52nd anniversary in a luxurious and massive manner.
“It will hurt the people’s hearts. So it is full of simplicity, but meaningfully, ideologically, and immediately followed by our movement to be able to come directly together with the people,” he said.
PDI Perjuangan will invite the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is also the Chairman of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto when the red party holds a congress.
