The main purpose of these sub – estimates is to obtain the legislature’s approval for expenditures approved for “renovations” and “new sub-works” after the first sub-estimates for 2021-2022 are tabled in the Legislature on January 7, 2022.
The following are some of the key items that may require additional funding in the sub-estimates:
- Grant Request No.12 – “Co-operative (Department of Co-operatives, Food and Consumer Protection)”, Rs 1,215.58 crore for jewelery loan waiver.
- Grant Request No. 42 – “Rural Development and Panchayat Department” As per the recommendations of the Fifteenth Central Finance Commission, Rs. In addition, Rs 948.58 crore has been earmarked for the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
- Subsidy Request No. 48 – Rs. 546.83 crore for free bus travel for “Transport Department” women.
- Grant Request No. 51 – Rs. 333.55 crore for measures to control the spread of Govt.
- Grant Request No. 34 – “Municipal Administration and Drinking Water Supply Department”, Rs. 212.92 crore for conducting urban local elections.
He had said that he would like the House to adopt and finalize the final sub-estimates for the year 2021-2022.
