End data
It is possible to make the phone issue a warning when approaching the data limit before the end of the monthly appointment, and even set a limit after which the phone will not use any data, through the following steps:
Go to Settings, then go to Network and Internet, then choose Internet, then click on the gear icon next to the name of the carrier, scroll down and select Data warning and limit, and finally, click on the mobile data usage cycle.
A limit can then be entered for the data that you want to use during a certain period, eg 4GB usage can be set and then stop, this will turn off mobile data completely when the user reaches the limit set.
Use data saver mode
In all phones running Android 8 and later there is a so-called data saving mode, which works when the phone is not connected to a “Wi-Fi” network and ensures that apps and services that are not being used effectively will not be able to use data in the background. This slows the phone down a bit, but if you’re concerned about exceeding the month’s data limit, it can help.
It is very easy to turn data saver mode on and off, by going to Settings, then Network and Internet, then to Data saver, and then turn on Use data saver, then the phone will show you the applications that you want to receive notifications and run in the background.
Restrict data usage to specific apps
Data saving mode is useful but can also be an annoyance if it limits apps too much, instead of turning it on and selecting the apps that should not be restricted, you can select and restrict only the apps that use the most data, by opening Settings then tap Network & Internet and go to Internet, scroll down and select Non-carrier, then the user gets a list of all the apps that have used data over the past month and how much they have used, and among them chooses the apps that pull a lot of data and stops it and allows only the useful.
