In the context of continuing Israeli violations, 6 Lebanese were killed and two others were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted two civilian vehicles east of the town of Tirdaba, south of Lebanon, according to what the National News Agency reported.

According to the information, “An Israeli march carried out a raid targeting a car and a van in the town of Tairdaba in the Tire district in the south of the country. New Israeli attacks also took place in the center of the town of Beni Hayyan and the vicinity of Aita al-Shaab in southern Lebanon.”

Meanwhile, “Lebanon filed a complaint before the UN Security Council in response to the Israeli army’s continued attacks despite the announcement of a cessation of hostilities.”

Lebanon called on the Security Council to “take immediate action to stop these attacks, guarantee the rights of farmers and fishermen in the affected areas, and take the necessary measures to hold Israel accountable and force it to compensate for all the damages caused by its aggression against the agricultural sector and other sectors.”

Lebanon also asked the member states of the Security Council, especially the countries sponsoring the declaration of cessation of hostilities, “to take a firm and clear position regarding the repeated Israeli violations of the provisions of this declaration.”

In this context, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stressed “his insistence on Israel’s complete withdrawal from the remainder of the occupied Lebanese territories, and the deployment of the army on the Geneva border.”

Aoun said during his meeting with his counterpart Anastasiades: “As soon as the new government is formed, the wheel of government work will begin, and the European Union’s support in this area is necessary and constructive.”

“The Cypriot President is the first foreign president to visit Lebanon to congratulate President Aoun, and after the meeting, he said: “I came today to stand by the Lebanese state and extended to President Aoun an invitation to visit Brussels.”

“Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that entered into force on November 27 continue, as the 60-day deadline approaches.”
