Cheongdo-gun (Governor Kim Ha-su) supports postpartum care expenses for mothers who gave birth after midnight on January 1, 2025, in order to reduce the financial burden, improve the health of mothers and newborns, and contribute to creating a stable childbirth environment.

Cheongdo-gun is an area with low birth rates, depopulation, and childbirth, and when a newborn is registered in the county, postpartum care expenses of up to 1 million won per mother are supported regardless of income.

Expenses incurred due to use of hospitals/clinics (including oriental medicine hospitals/clinics), pharmacies, postpartum care centers, and visiting postpartum care providers, etc. related to childbirth and postpartum care can be submitted to the public health center within 12 months after childbirth. In addition, we will expand and operate various pregnancy and childbirth support projects, including support for medical expenses for mothers over 35 years of age, provision of birth congratulatory boxes, and support for male infertility treatment costs.

Cheongdo-gun Mayor Kim Ha-su said, “We will take the lead in laying the foundation for overcoming low birth rates and creating a childbirth-friendly environment, and will do our best to create a happy Cheongdo-gun that is good for giving birth and raising children by implementing various pregnancy and childbirth support projects.”

Meanwhile, Cheongdo-gun held the first Cheongdo-gun Childcare Policy Committee of 2025 in the first conference room of the county office on the 9th, with six childcare policy committee members in attendance.

The Cheongdo-gun Childcare Policy Committee is comprised of 10 members from various fields, including parent representatives, childcare experts, public interest representatives, daycare center directors, and childcare teachers. It establishes the county’s childcare policies and plans every year and deliberates and reviews various childcare policy matters that reflect local opinions. Decide.

This committee approved the renewal of the contract for a national daycare center, and in particular, conducted a review of 24-hour care daycare centers and finally selected one that met various criteria such as facility expertise and operation plan.

Through this committee, Cheongdo-gun laid the foundation for creating a customized childcare service system that satisfies both parents and children by adding 24-hour emergency care while maintaining the public nature and stability of national daycare centers.
