Police have arrested the son of a sub-inspector who was involved in a motorcycle race in Puliyanthope and confiscated an expensive motorcycle from him.

Chennai Police Commissioner Shankar Jiwal has ordered stern action against motorcyclists for threatening the public and causing accidents in Chennai. Following that, on the night of the 21st, the Puliyanthope police were engaged in a surveillance operation. It was then revealed that a gang of 5 people was racing fast with sophisticated motorcycles from the Puliyanthoppu area to the Rayapuram flyover.
Following this, they were interrogated by the police who nabbed them. Divin Kumar (20), son of Special Police Sub-Inspector Dhanasekar and a private college student, Movin (20), a third year student of Thandayarpet, and Harish Kumar (22), a 3rd year student of Puthuvannarapettai. The victim was identified as Balaji, 22, an engineering college student, and Salman, 19, a law student from Tiruvottiyur. The police subsequently arrested all 5 of them and confiscated an expensive motorcycle from them.
