Australian batsman Steve Smith has become the fastest batsman to score 8,000 runs in Test cricket.

Australian cricketer Steve Smith has set a new record in the ongoing Test series in Lahore, Pakistan. He scored 59 in the first innings of the 3rd and final Test, setting a new record of 7,993 in Tests.

In 150 innings, he took the most runs, beating Kumar Sangakkara (7,913), Sachin Tendulkar (7,869), Virender Sehwag (7,694) and Rahul Dravid (7,680).

In this situation, Vlasi Smith has set another new record for a four by Hasan Ali in today’s match. He played in 151 innings (85 Test matches) and scored a total of 8,000 runs.

Smith has taken 85 Tests, 151 innings, 8002 runs (not out), average 60.17, 200-3, 27th and half-centuries, 36.

Thus, he broke the 12-year-old record and became the fastest batsman to score 8,000 runs in Test cricket.

Sangakkara has been pushed to 2nd position (152 innings) in this order. Tendulkar (154 innings), Gary Sobers (157 innings) and another Indian, Rahul Dravid (158 innings) are in 3rd and 5th place respectively.
