jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will celebrate its 52nd birthday on Friday (10/1).

This historic moment for the political party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri will be held at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.

However, PDIP has confirmed that it will not invite President Prabowo Subianto to the birthday celebration.

According to PDIP DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat, the birthday celebration for the party winning the 2024 election will be held simply.

“This party’s anniversary is a simple event, we did not invite government representatives. “We did not invite Pak Prabowo,” said Djarot at a press conference at the PDIP DPP office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Thursday (9/1).

The former Governor of DKI Jakarta said that the PDIP anniversary celebration this time was for internal purposes only, an opportunity for self-correction.

“The party’s anniversary event is for our internal party, as a medium for us to introspect and improve ourselves as well as planning various kinds of activities that directly touch the people,” added Djarot.

The former Mayor of Blitar emphasized that the celebration of PDIP’s 52nd anniversary would really be carried out simply. “That’s why it’s done at the Party School,” he said.

Djarot emphasized that PDIP would invite President Prabowo Subianto to another forum.
