jpnn.comPALEMBANG – The General Election Commission (KPU) of South Sumatra Province appointed Herman Deru – Cik Ujang (HDCU), as Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra for the period 2025-2030.
The HDCU pair obtained 2,220,437 votes or 51.62 percent of the total valid votes.
“We hereby appoint Herman Deru – Cik Ujang as elected Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra for the period 2025-2030, this decision is effective from 10.00 WIB,” said South Sumatra KPU Chairman Andika Pranata Jaya in the Open Plenary Meeting at the South Sumatra KPU Building, Thursday (9 /1/2025).
After the determination, said Andika, the South Sumatra KPU will submit a copy of the official decision to the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD.
“Tomorrow, we will submit a copy of this decision to the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD,” said Andika.
Herman Deru expressed his gratitude for the public’s trust.
“This victory is a victory for all the people of South Sumatra,” said Deru.
Furthermore, Deru said, he and Cik Ujang will continue the vision and mission during the campaign.
Herman Deru – Cik Ujang (HDCU) was officially appointed as Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra for the 2025-2030 period.
