Through her account on Instagram, Hilton shared her sadness when she watched her house burn to the ground via live broadcast on television.

“Seeing our house in Malibu burn to the ground is something no one should have to experience,” he wrote, Wednesday (8/1).

In her upload, Paris Hilton recalled the precious moments she had with her husband, Carter Reum, and their two children, Phoenix and London.

“This house is where we built beautiful memories. This is where Phoenix took his first steps,” he wrote.

Despite the great loss, Hilton feels grateful that his family survived the disaster.

Hilton also expressed his sympathy to the forest fire victims who lost their homes.

“The devastation is unimaginable. I feel sorry for those who woke up today without a place they called home,” he said.
