Sports schools and hostels are functioning in various districts under the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority which can provide them with training, accommodation and nutritious food for their training so that the students in Tamil Nadu can achieve a lot in the field of sports.
There are hostels for students in Madurai, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Krishnagiri, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Tuticorin, Sivagangai, Theni, Ramanathapuram, Nilgiris, Villupuram, Chennai, Neyveli and Namakkal.
There are also hostels for students in Erode, Thiruvannamalai, Namakkal, Dindigul, Nagakoil, Perambalur, Theni, Pudukottai, Dharmapuri and Chennai.
District level skinning competitions for 7th, 8th, 9th class and 11th class chokeholds to join these sports clubs were held at Namakkal District Playground.
Of these, 260 students who won district and state level sports participated and played in various leather competitions. The winners were selected to compete at the state level. 80 students and 180 students participated in the competition which was held in various sports.
