In this press release, Slovenia particularly welcomed the Enlightened Initiative launched by His Majesty the King to promote access of the Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean, with a view to making the African space a geostrategic framework for cooperation, as well as the Morocco-Nigeria gas pipeline project. Likewise, the Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs welcomed the African Union’s agenda on migration.

Slovenia also underlined the importance of the large-scale reforms initiated by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, for the building of a “more open and more open” society and economy. dynamic”, particularly through the implementation of the New Development Model and advanced regionalization, as well as sustained efforts in favor of women’s empowerment and sustainable development.

She also congratulated the Kingdom of Morocco for the success of the 9th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, held in November 2022 in Fez, and for the constant and long-standing leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed. VI in this area.

In this regard, the Republic of Slovenia underlined that it is open to continuing discussions regarding the Moroccan proposal aimed at developing cooperation in the area of ​​interreligious dialogue.
