The State Police received information that in Bauskas county, Iecavas parish, an unidentified driver with an unidentified vehicle, moving in the direction from Iecavas towards Bauskas, entered the opposite lane unjustifiably. The man who was driving the “Toyota” car in the direction from Bauska to Iecava, to avoid a collision, drove off the road and entered the “Smėdes” bus stop.
No one was injured in the accident and the police have started an administrative violation process for the incident.
On the other hand, the State Fire and Rescue Service informed the agency LETA that the rescuers pulled the car from the bus stop with the help of a winch. The man got out of the vehicle on his own.
It has already been reported that a total of 123 road traffic accidents were registered in the country in the past 24 hours, a total of seven people were injured in five accidents, including three pedestrians, and one person died in one incident.
