Jeonnam Province announced its technological prowess and growth potential to the world at CES. 15 companies participated in the Jeonnam Pavilion and showcased various cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), metaverse, and renewable energy. In particular, BK Energy Co., Ltd. signed a contract worth a total of $28.02 million to supply a 10MW green hydrogen generator to US company A and floating solar power equipment to US company B.

Turbine Crew Co., Ltd. signed a $200,000 smart streetlight supply agreement with U.S. company C, and Smart Cube Co., Ltd. signed a business agreement with U.S. company D to develop an e-commerce platform based on Metaverse, laying the foundation for entry into the global market.

Human IT Solution Co., Ltd. and BK Energy Co., Ltd. strengthened their global partnership by participating in CES 2024 for the second consecutive year. Human IT Solution Co., Ltd. successfully launched extended reality (XR) content on the global company META platform, recording monthly sales of $8,000. BK Energy Co., Ltd. is pursuing a localization strategy by establishing a local corporation in Nevada to enter the U.S. market.

Participating companies presented new technologies to global venture investors. Newjak Co., Ltd. won the CES 2025 Innovation Award in the Metaverse and Content/Entertainment categories for its extended reality platform technology that can be used without body-worn devices.

Smart Cube Co., Ltd. proved its competitiveness in the global market by introducing a smart tour information service using 3D and artificial intelligence, and Neo Dreams Co., Ltd. introduced an artificial intelligence coaching system for rehabilitation treatment.

Richard Jun of LA Sunstone Management Venture Capital, who attended the company’s technology presentation, said, “Jeonnam companies have the potential to create sustainable future food and innovative solutions by applying artificial intelligence technology highlighted at CES 2025 to various fields such as healthcare and smart cities. “This is high,” he said, highly evaluating the investment potential.

Meanwhile, in South Jeolla Province, the Korean Oriental Medicine Association announced on the 9th that the medical community’s dedicated sharing activities are continuing, such as donating 10 million won worth of oriental medicine to support the families of victims of the Jeju Air plane accident.

This donation was made as part of a sharing activity to help the victim’s family recover quickly.

The donated oriental medicine includes three types, including Woohwang Cheongsimhwan, and will be used to help with physical recovery, psychological stability, and pain relief following accident damage.

From the beginning of the Jeju Air plane accident, the local medical community made dedicated efforts to help the victims’ families by providing active medical support and volunteer work in cooperation with Jeonnam Province in various fields.

The Jeonnam Provincial Medical Association prescribed and administered fluids for the victim’s family, and the Jeonnam Provincial Oriental Medicine Association took care of the patient’s body and mind through acupuncture treatment and oriental medicine worth 30 million won.

The Jeonnam Provincial Pharmacist Association also contributed to helping the victim’s family recover physically by providing 40 million won worth of medical supplies and medication counseling.

The local medical community is not only providing medical services, but is also making dedicated efforts and support to alleviate the physical pain and psychological difficulties suffered by victims, including actively participating in donation activities such as medicine and oriental medicine to help victims’ families.

Previously, the Seoul Metropolitan Government cooperated with the Seoul Medical Association, the Oriental Medical Association, and the Pharmaceutical Association to provide approximately 20,000 items, including drugs, quasi-drugs, and oriental medicine.
