During this interview, Mr. Akhannouch expressed his sincere congratulations to his Jordanian counterpart, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary (Silver Jubilee) of the accession celebration of the Hashemite Sovereign to the throne.

He also welcomed Jordan’s initiative to host this International Conference for Emergency Humanitarian Response in Gaza, as well as the Hashemite Kingdom’s interest in the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. , highlighting the complementary roles of the two Sovereigns, HM King Mohammed VI and HM King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, with a view to ending the war against Gaza and for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the population , in the framework of Morocco’s presidency of the Al-Quds Committee and Hashemite supervision over Islamic and Christian places in Al-Quds.

Furthermore, both parties praised the depth of relations and the strength of the ties uniting the two Kingdoms, under the leadership of the two Sovereigns, HM King Mohammed VI and His brother HM King Abdullah II.

They also reviewed several issues of common interest, highlighting the common desire of the two Kingdoms to promote fraternal ties and cooperation uniting them and to raise their bilateral cooperation to the level of a multidimensional strategic partnership, in the service of common interests. of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

In this context, Mr. Akhannouch reiterated Morocco’s determination, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, to further consolidate these ties of cooperation through the mechanism of the High Joint Commission, capable of instilling a new dynamic to bilateral cooperation in the economic, commercial and cultural fields.

This interview took place in the presence, on the Moroccan side, of the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Amman, Fouad Akhrif, and the Director of Global Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Ismail Chakouri.

Mr. Akhannouch represents HM King Mohammed VI at the work of the high-level international conference on the urgent humanitarian response in Gaza, organized jointly by Jordan, Egypt and the United Nations.

Titled “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Assistance for Gaza”, the Conference aims to identify ways to strengthen the international community’s response to the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.

The conference is marked by the presence of the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, heads of state and/or government representing more than 75 countries, as well as representatives of humanitarian organizations and international financial institutions.
