Daecheon Port Fishery Market received positive evaluations for enhancing its brand value as a cultural tourism base market linked to the region’s representative tourist resources. The Corporation comprehensively reviewed various items, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations and opinions from project stakeholders.

The Daecheon Port Fishery Market Cultural Tourism Market Development Project Group has been promoting various projects such as tourism content development, promotional marketing, strengthening self-reliance, and infrastructure improvement with the goal of ‘creating a representative tourism-specialized Daecheon Port Fishery Market on the West Coast’.

In addition, the Daecheon Port Fishery Market Merchants Association took the lead in sharing with the local community. Merchants participated in promoting local welfare by donating 2,418,000 won voluntarily raised to the Daecheon 5-dong Community Security Council joint fund.

President Han Han-mi of the Merchants’ Association said, “I wanted to contribute even a small amount of effort to local development and eliminating welfare blind spots,” and added, “I will continue to participate in social contribution activities in the future.”

Meanwhile, the Boryeong City Agricultural Technology Center (hereinafter referred to as the Agricultural Technology Center) announced on the 9th that it had donated high-quality lettuce produced in the Smart Gardening Team’s demonstration test greenhouse to the Boryeong Jeongsimwon.

This donation is intended to contribute to improving the local community’s eating habits, and the Agricultural Technology Center continues to share agricultural products produced in the verification test greenhouse this year, continuing in 2024. The fresh lettuce produced through empirical testing by the Agricultural Technology Center’s Smart Gardening Team is expected to contribute to the healthy diet of Boryeong Jeongsimwon family members.

These facilities are also used as farm training centers, contributing to improving the quality of life of local residents.
