Doha: Qatar Railways has said that the number of Doha Metro passengers has crossed 50 million. Since the launch of the Doha Metro in 2019, the number of passengers has grown to over 50 million. Officials said the increase in the number of commuters was due to better Metro services in connection with various events in Doha.

The Doha Metro was used by about 2.5 million passengers as part of the Arab Cup football tournament alone. Meanwhile, officials said preparations were underway to provide better travel services for the FIFA World Cup football tournament.
