The “Noble Dina” exercise came to an end today (Thursday). The exercise took place in the Mediterranean Sea, southwest of Cyprus, with the participation of four navies from Greece, France, Cyprus and the United States. The joint exercise opened with a professional meeting of the commanders of the ships in order to strengthen the connection and mutual understanding between the fleets, the meeting took place on the missile ship Ahi Hanit in the middle of the sea.
The participating forces performed a series of different exercises, including naval defense, dealing with the submarine threat, search and rescue, providing medical response at sea, dealing with naval and air threats, and combined naval and air force training against submarines. The practice of the common scenarios contributed to the mutual learning between the fleets, to the strengthening of ties and collaborations, to the sharing of professional knowledge and to the creation of a common language.
In the exercise, which takes place as every year, the missile ships Ahi Hanit, Ahi Kidon and Ahi Spear, as well as the submarine Ahi Tanin, took part.
