Popular American blogger and traveler Drew Binsky, who visited all 197 countries of the world, spoke about his travel experiences and shared his opinion about the worst and best cities on the planet. LADbible reports this.
In his YouTube video, where he has more than 5 million subscribers, Binsky talked about encounters with cannibals in Papua, visiting the narrowest city in China and a cheap lunch in Uzbekistan. However, the most unpleasant city for him was Conakry, the capital of Guinea. According to him, this place has earned the “title” of the worst city on the planet.
Drew began his travels in 2015, leaving his teaching job to devote himself full-time to exploring the world. He shared that already in the first minutes of his stay in Conakry he encountered chaos and corruption. He told how he and his friend were stopped by police, and the atmosphere in the city was reminiscent of preparations for war. Binski also noted that he had to pay the driver $20 to continue the ride. “The city was filled with garbage, sewage flowed through the streets, and the smell was unbearable. I’ve seen dirty places all over the world, but Conakry especially stood out,” the blogger shared.
In addition, according to him, the local residents were not very friendly. In one of the restaurants he was even kicked out without explanation. Binski also highlighted the high crime rate in the city, especially pickpocketing and assault.
The only positive aspect of his visit was a visit to the mosque, which he described as a “pleasant place.” Overall, however, he noted that he would never want to return to Conakry.
Besides Guinea’s capital, Drew also mentioned cities like N’Djamena in Chad and Delhi in India as some of the most unpleasant to visit. At the same time, he named Prague (Czech Republic), Bangkok (Thailand) and Seoul (South Korea) as the best cities for tourists.
We previously reported that Israel was not included in Tripadvisor’s updated list of recommended destinations for 2025. London, which ranked third in 2024, moved up to first, while Bali (Indonesia) remained in second place.
