Christopher Nkunku has been linked to Bayern since Monday. Now he should actually be Munich’s new target.
Is Christopher Nkunku coming to Munich this winter? As the pay-TV broadcaster Sky reports, the offensive player from Chelsea FC has become FC Bayern’s new transfer target. Accordingly, sports director Max Eberl is pushing for a change for Nkunku by the end of the winter transfer window on February 3rd.
On Monday evening, the “Bild” newspaper and transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano unanimously reported that an exchange deal was in the offing between the Londoners and Bayern. Accordingly, Chelsea offered Nkunku in exchange for Mathys Tel.
As Sky now reports, the German record champions have long since reached a complete verbal agreement with Nkunku. The Frenchman should receive a long-term contract. The club is also in direct contact with Nkunku’s advisor Pini Zahavi and Chelsea FC. The 27-year-old still has a contract in London until 2029. According to the report, he really wants to move to Munich immediately.
And what about Mathys Tel? Bayern are said to be aware that Chelsea are interested in the 19-year-old. This is how the idea of integrating Tel into Nkunku’s transfer allegedly came about, as it is said.
He had only recently decided that he wanted to stay with the German record champions – despite little playing time. He is said to have rejected all loan requests. Bavaria had also committed itself to him.
The Munich team is now heading to the next Bundesliga duel. On Wednesday evening, FC Bayern welcomes TSG Hoffenheim for the 17th matchday (from 8:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).
