Independence Day Marathon | Madurai

Madurai, March 25: A mini marathon was held in Madurai yesterday on behalf of the Public Relations Department and the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority on the eve of Independence Day. Collector Anish Shekhar flagged off the marathon which started at the Collector’s office premises. The competition was attended by the College National Student Corps and more than 100 students. The marathon started at the Collector’s Office and proceeded through the Gandhi Memorial Museum to the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Stadium. The event was attended by District Press and Public Relations Officer Sally Commander, District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer Lenin, Assistant Public Relations Officer Kayilainathan, Tamil Nadu Citizens Consumer Protection Center Chairman Karnan and a large number of government officials and students.
