Deprived of Mondial, Italy again “in hell”

by time news

Founded in 1924, it is a sports daily, based in Rome, mainly devoted to football and which competes with the first Italian sports daily, La Gazzetta dello Sport, published in Milan.

The current newspaper was born from the merger, in 1977, of the two magazines: the Corriere dello Sport / Il Littorale, created in 1924 and Stadio, born in 1945. Thanks to the unification of the readers of the two magazines, the new Corriere dello Sport -Stadio, has gained a national dimension even though it has preserved the pages of the various regional editions.

Since November 2008, the newspaper has offered a new website which is no longer limited to providing online (after 6 p.m.) the daily edition of the daily newspaper but which makes it possible to keep up to date with all the sports news.
