Lahore: After a draw in the first two Tests and a draw in the first four days of the third Test, Pakistan finally surrendered to Australia. In the third Test of the series (Pakistan vs Australia 3rd Test), Australia defeated Pakistan by 115 runs to win the three – match series 1-0. Chasing a target of 351, Pakistan were 77 not out on the final day but were bowled out for 235. Nathan Lyon (five wickets) and Pat Cummins (three wickets) bowled Pakistan on the final day. Australia 391, 227-3, Pakistan 268, 235.

Pakistan lost the wicket of Abdullah Shafiq (27) for the same score at the crease on the final day at 77 for no loss. Imamul Haque and Azhar Ali (17) crossed the 100 mark, but Ali fell to Ali and gave Pakistan a second blow. But with captain Babur Assam at the crease with a half-century, Pakistan’s hopes were dashed.
Leon smashed Pakistan’s hopes of victory by knocking off Azhar Ali (70) and Assam (55). Pat Cummins smashed Fawad Alam (11) and Mohammad Rizwan (0) to give Pakistan the lead. Sajid Khan (21) was bowled out by Starc and the fall of Pakistan came to an end when Lyon and Cummins curled their tails.
For Australia, Lyon took five wickets for 83 runs while Cummins took three wickets for 23 runs. The first two Tests of the series were drawn.
