It has been officially announced that a famous producer has acquired the rights to remake the recently released super hit Malayalam film in 3 languages including Tamil.
‘Hirudayam’, directed by Vinith Srinivasan and starring Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan, was released last January and was a huge success. The film was made at a cost of Rs 6 crore and is said to have grossed only Rs 65 crore.
Famous Bollywood producer Karan Johar has acquired the rights to remake the film in 3 languages - Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. He confirmed this on his social media site. Filming for the trilingual remake of the film is expected to begin soon.
It is said that talks are underway to cast a leading actor in the Tamil remake of the film.
