Udumalai: ‘Today, the 26th phase of the mega vaccination camp is taking place in Tirupur district. Those over the age of 18 who have not even been vaccinated for the first time must be vaccinated at the camp, ‘the district administration has called.
Collector Vineeth Report: In Tirupur district, there are 21 lakh, 81 thousand, 900 persons between 15 and 18 years of age and above 18 years of age. The second installment of the vaccine has been given. In addition, one lakh, 3 thousand, 561 people have to pay the first installment and four lakh, 92 thousand, 486 people have to pay the second installment of the vaccine. Today (26th) in the district, the 26th mega vaccination camp will take place. At today’s camp, the target is to vaccinate one lakh people. Today’s camp will provide two installments of booster vaccine for nine months or, past 39 weeks, health workers, field workers and those over 60 years of age.
All necessary arrangements have been made to make the vaccine available in the villages, municipalities and corporations without leaving a single person. Camps are being set up at 617 places in the district, including Government Medical College, Taluka Government Hospital, Primary Health Care, Sub Station.
They will be vaccinated from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. A total of 2,468 staff and volunteers from various sectors are expected to be involved in the vaccination drive. Thus, the Collector stated in the statement.
