Private bus strike; Record increase in KSRTC revenue

Record increase in KSRTC revenue in the wake of the private bus strike. 6.17 crore on Thursday and Rs. 6.78 crore on Friday. The average daily income of KSRTC was Rs 5 crore. That’s what has jumped in the last two days.

KSRTC is running more services in the wake of the indefinite strike by private bus owners’ organizations from the 24th. About 8,000 private buses currently in service in the state are participating in the strike.

The private bus strike in the state has entered its third day. Transport Minister Antony Raju had yesterday said that the final decision on the bus fare hike would be taken after the LDF meeting on May 30.
