4 out of 8 arrested transferred to Madurai Central Jail

Eight people have been arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old girl in Virudhunagar. Of these, 4 are boys and the other are Hariharan, Zeenat Ahmed, Madasamy and Praveen.

In this context, the case was referred to the CPCID. Following the order of First Minister MK Stalin to conduct an inquiry, Virudhunagar Deputy Superintendent of Police Archana handed over the documents related to the case to the CPCID. The deputy superintendent handed over the heels to Vinodini yesterday.

Following this, the C.P.C.I.T. The police superintendent arrived in Virudhunagar yesterday. He conducted a face-to-face investigation into the victim, a young woman who has been placed in custody under the supervision of the Department of Social Welfare. Following this, he went to Virudhunagar Medical College Hospital and examined the medical examination reports.

The CPCID has directed the police to take into custody and interrogate 4 persons arrested and jailed in this case. Police have filed a petition in the Srivilliputhur Court in this regard, as planned. After getting the permission of the court, all the 4 of them were arrested by the CPCID. Police are expected to begin an investigation.

Four of the eight arrested in the Virudhunagar gang-rape case have been transferred to Madurai Central Jail. It has been reported that Hariharan, Zeenat Ahmed, Madasamy and Praveen, who are lodged in the Srivilliputhur branch jail, have been transferred to the Madurai jail.

It has been reported that the CPCIT is conducting a search in the houses of 8 persons arrested in the Virudhunagar sex incident.
