Numerous spectators flocked to the band’s performance in the trade fair city on Saturday afternoon. The Chemnitz group let their fans participate in the campaign on Instagram. Pictures from the performance also made the rounds on Twitter. At the same time, the band itself caused speculation with a tweet.
Leipzig. Kraftklub surprised everyone with an impromptu concert on Saturday afternoon in Leipzig.
The Chemnitz band let their fans participate in the campaign in an Instagram story. It shows how the group around singer Felix Kummer packs up their instruments and rolls up a carpet. She then takes the train to the trade fair city and the tram through Leipzig. The carpet is being rolled out on Karl-Heine-Strasse. Numerous fans, who had apparently flocked quickly, danced and cheered at the band’s performance.
According to the Leipziger Volkszeitung (LVZ), around 1,000 spectators watched the concert. For Chemnitz, it was the first since the beginning of the corona pandemic – for 930 days, as the band announced on Instagram. Kraftklub simply wanted to play outside in the beautiful weather and spontaneously drove to Leipzig, Felix Kummer told LVZ. The spontaneous concert also caused a stir on Twitter.
