Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, has said that the real refuge of Doha communities is social justice and that fair tax policies are essential. Amir pointed out that fair tax policies are essential because the majority of the community cannot afford to miss out on the services provided by countries.
Inaugurating the 20th Doha Forum, which kicked off at the Doha Sheraton Hotel, Ameer said social justice was the real refuge for communities. The forum is titled ‘Transition to the New Age’.
Amir pointed out that the world has reached a critical juncture at all levels, be it political, economic, environmental or social, and in this case radical revisions are needed to save the world from imbalance.
The emir also expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the millions of innocent people and refugees who have been victims of unjust wars and geopolitical calculations. Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani also attended the Doha Forum at the Doha Sheraton.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky attended the forum through a virtual platform. It will be attended by the Prime Ministers of Kosovo, Lebanon and Palestine, Joseph Borrell, EU Foreign and Security Policy Representative, Borg Brendan, President of the World Economic Forum, Government Heads from various friendly countries, Media Representatives, Diplomats, Representatives of Local and International Organizations, and Non – Governmental Organizations. . The 2 day forum will end today.
