The great tension between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Defense Minister Bnei Gantz continues and intensifies, threatening to become a real crisis between the two.
After the public quarrel between them over the trip to India, when Ganz who was surprised to find out that Bennett would fly to India the day before, preceded his trip by three days, further tension is now being recorded.
According to a report by Yuval Karni in Yedioth Ahronoth, the new tension is due to Minister Ganz’s intention to attend a conference in Ramallah, alongside Palestinian Authority Chairman Abu Mazen and King Jordan Abdullah.
Bennett, was not updated on Ganz’s intention and heard about it only from a third party, apparently an Arab source. Due to this, he announced that he does not approve of the Defense Minister’s participation in the conference but will consider it if an application is received.
Gantz’s entourage claim that Bennett’s decision to prevent Gantz from attending the conference with Abu Mazen and the King of Jordan is due to Gantz’s decision to advance the flight to India – before Bennett.
